PROJECT OVERVIEW

Codesigner is an online educational platform that lets user be a student and instructors at the same time. As you visit the homepage, there are hundreds of courses uploaded by users as an instructor in a form of video or lectures files. On the other way around, if you are a user who wants to expand your knowledge you can register as a student and explore different courses. The instructor may also earn income by selling their courses through codesigner.

BRIEF

The client gave us the wireframe indicating the main function of the website. I decided to do research and organize the structure of the website.

My Role and Team

I primarily worked on UX research and collaborated in some UI design with the design team Jep, Mcjieh, Nics, Joey, and Ally.

Since the system is too broad. I decided to make 3 phases for us to easily track the flow of the system.

High Fidelity Prototyping

As we finished the low fidelity, the next step is to design the user interface of the whole system. Here, we designed the system according to phases. So we started at 1st phase through 3rd phase.

Quality Check

Before testing, we assure that we first do the quality checking internally. We conducted our courses and act as a user (instructor) for use to have courses contents. The quality assurance team tried and tested the website before we conduct beta testing to ensure that the system functions are working fine.

We also used the system to train new employees. So before getting into actual work they are required to sign up as a student and finished the training related to what they are working on. There is also a summary test conducted by the instructor uploaded in the course before they could get their certificate. This is for the instructor's assurance that they have learned and studied the taken courses.

Beta Testing

Finally, we conducted beta testing at the office for Codesigner. The project manager invited the seniors of Jose Rizal University for an immersion. The user (students) are scheduled by batch to study the courses at the office for 3hours. We the user (instructors) personally tackled the video courses and gave them hands-on quizzes after they took the courses.

Before getting their certificates we have conducted feedback for us to collect data that we can improve in the future.

The company also prepared a culmination for the senior high school student as they received their certificates in finishing the courses using the Codesigner website.
